About Me

Let me introduce myself and tell you a little about me.  My name is Emiley White, I'm the owner/ operator of Vitality Equine Wellness, and I'm based out of Clymer, NY.  I have been involved with horses for over 15 years, and I have a small farmette at home with a few horses of my own.  I have been a Paramedic for 25 years, working solely for EmergyCare full-time for as many years, being based out of the rural stations in Corry, Titusville, Warren and Kane, PA.  I've always had an interest in animal husbandry, several years ago I had a career in showing and breeding quality AKC Labrador retrievers, and I did that for quite a long time.  After getting married and having children, I ended that endeavor in favor of raising my human babies.

My interest in animal wellness was sparked after acquiring a horse that was diagnosed with a severe case of chronic Lyme disease.  With the help of antibiotics, in conjunction with proper nutrition and additional supplements, I was able to bring his blood levels into homeostasis and keep him there successfully.  The benefits of massage proved to be a big part of his recovery, he is now a loved part of a lesson program in a facility in Upstate New York, and is doing well.  I then purchased a horse that was diagnosed with navicular syndrome shortly after I bought her.  After much research and dedication, I have successfully been able to rehabilitate her to be barefoot sound.  With the help of my vets and farrier, this took roughly 6 months to achieve... massage, cold laser, and proper nutrition have been instrumental in keeping her sound.  I have seen huge changes in her as a whole during this recovery, it really has been a total body and mind transformation for her.

Why did I choose Therasage EMC for massage schooling?  First and foremost, because they are 100% in-person and hands-on (besides the pre-class homework I was assigned prior to attending).  I signed up for this specific program knowing it was a huge opportunity for me to get the certification I wanted, how I wanted it.  Therasage EMC is recognized by several colleges and universities across the nation, and has been approved since 2001 as a post-secondary school for certification in the state of Wisconsin.  Therasage EMC is also an AAVSB RACE provider, approved for 40 CEU's for practitioners in multiple professional fields.  Since successfully completing the Therasage EMC program hosted by Otterbein University in Ohio,

Why did I decide  to go through Rutger's University to obtain my Certificate Of Completion for Equine Nutrition?  Because I felt it was the most comprehensive and organized program I could have gone through, to gain the knowledge that I felt was necessary.  The Rutger's University name in and of itself speaks volumes in the equine/agriculture world, and graduating (with an A) from this once yearly/limited enrollment class instructed by none other than Nutrition Specialist Dr. Carey Williams, Ph. D. is an achievement I am truly proud of.

I believe education and experience is the key to progression.  More often than not, I am enrolled in any given course to move forward with learning.  The courses I choose to take  part in are all proven, with reliable instructors and names to back them up.  I look forward to bringing more to the table as time goes on, to  be able to further assist the equine community.
